colourful identity crisis

Have you ever had your colours done?  I don't mean your hair, but I mean a professional looking at you and saying "you're a spring/summer/winter/autumn"?  I haven't, and I've always kind of thought it was silly.  I know what colours look good on me.  I know earth tones like green and brown, and bright reds and blues look good on me.  And I know gold compliments my skin better than silver does.

Well, apparently I've been wrong my entire life.  I met up with a professional had my colours done, just for giggles.  And I'm not the autumn I thought I was!!  I'm a summer, the complete opposite!!!  At first I was skeptical, but I got a second opinion, and then a third, and they all said the same thing: summer!

Which means that half my wardrobe is defunct.  And seriously?  Silver is better than gold, for me?!      

When I told my hairdresser, he just said "Oh honey, I could have told you that".  Ha.
