Oh wow am I behind the times! Everybody has their New Year's resolution posts up, and I still have to blog about Christmas!
Well, let's just say that the song "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas" took on a whole new meaning this year. Not only did I miss seeing my family this season, but I also spent it in Australia! The Fella and I took a road trip to his family's place, and Christmas day was 35C+ without a cloud in the sky.
The road trip was about 15 hours, which we split over two days. And it was so cute the way it started; he picked me up with the car all decked out in Christmas decorations, blasting Christmas carols, and he was wearing a Santa hat! That's also how we rolled into his parents' driveway.
I haven't given a whole lot of details of this new relationship (he doesn't even know I blog - ha), but the rundown is that we've been friends for close to ten years. Now that we're dating, we are both very happy. He met my family almost five years ago at my sister's wedding, so me meeting his family wasn't too much of a stretch. Except that it was, in a way, because this time we're in a romantic relationship instead of a platonic one. And it was more than a little overwhelming meeting the entire family, all at once, at Christmas, and on somebody else's turf.
However, despite a few bumps in the road, the holidays were a hit. Here are a few pictures from our road trip.
More pictures to come when I get them off My Fella's camera.
