It's an amazing thing to be in a room (or in our case, a garden) full of loved ones. That's just how I felt a few weeks ago, when The Fella and I had our Engagement Party (thrown by our mothers, or, The Mums).
Even better was having one of my friends, the fabulous photographer Natalie Nguyen, photograph the event. The photos arrived today and looking through them brought me so much joy. Every single photo (with people, not food) had someone in it that I love; that I share wonderful memories with; who makes me smile and feel lucky to have them in my life.
And I just can't wait until our wedding, when my Canadian family and friends can join us as well. I imagine that to be one of the most amazing feelings ever - to be in a room filled with almost everybody in the world who is dearest to your heart.
