a comment on my life's little instruction calendar

When my mother gave me a small "Life's Little Instruction" calendar for Christmas, I thought "cute novelty gift".  But it's surprised me; I find myself tearing off the pages daily, eager to see what wisdom or comment it has for the day.  Sometimes they're total duds, but sometimes they leave me thinking of hours, or days.  April 22nd's is my favourite to date.

"Money spent on good friends, adventuresome travel, and fresh flowers is never wasted."
