How was your Easter this year, lovelies? The Fella and I had a good one. We rented a little cottage by the beach, about four hours south of Sydney, and just chilled out all weekend. Our Easter comprised of
- bacon and sausage breakfasts
- bandicoot sitings
- wild kangaroos
- endless beach walks
- playing in the surf
- me driving our new car
- an easter egg hunt
- easter hats
- dying (brown) eggs
Easter also marks the one year anniversary of my latest Bringing Sexy Back campaign, which has been overhauling not only my weight but my body image too. It was last Easter that I had a picture taken of myself paddle boarding in a wetsuit. I cried when I saw it, when I saw that that was what I looked like. This past year has been a roller-coaster as far as my weight's concerned. I dropped almost 20lbs, but then gained 10 of that back. I'm not at my goal weight anymore, and I'm not happy with how I look like I was back in July. But overall I'm in a much better place than I was this time last year. And I'm healthier, which is the most important part. So really, for me, Easter is many things. It's a special time for The Fella and me, it's Easter, and it's an anniversary and checkpoint of my journey into physical health. Easter is becoming more and more meaningful to me as I get older.
