1.   One of my happiest moments ever was       well, it's any time I pick up my mother from the airport, really (or when she picks me up).  She's my best friend, and it always seems so long between visits.  She's here in exactly one week!!  SO EXCITED.

2.  Summer is wedding season and weddings are   a mystery to me, kind of.  I've only ever been to one - my sister's.  And she chose not to have a wedding party, and my best girlfriend eloped, so I didn't even get to be a bridesmaid.  I've missed out on weddings because I'm always living in some far-flung place and for one reason or another can't afford the plane ticket across the world.  Ok, well, this was in my younger days.  But NOW I can!  Come on, people!  Get married and invite me (if you haven't already).  I am going to a dear friend's wedding in November, in Perth, Australia, and I am so excited.

3.  This summer     the weather has sucked in Vancouver!  Makes a good argument for my pending move to Australia.

4.  My summer food of choice has been   trisket crackers.  I'm suddenly obsessed with olive oil and cracked pepper trisket crackers, loaded with cheese and pickles.  Yum.

5.  My summer uniform has been     jean shorts and a hoodie.  Seriously.  I haven't worn any of my usual summer dresses once, it's been so cold..

6.  If I could spend the entire summer in one location I would choose      somewhere warm.  Anywhere, really. At this point, I'm not picky! 

7.  My summer anthem is       "Hey  Soul Sister" by Train.  The song just makes me feel so good.
