Isn't that a fantastic quote? I got it from this amazing blog. I just discovered this blog, when I was googling alternative ways to clean my carpet without using expensive and toxic cleaning supplies. The article I found praises baking soda as a clean-all. So I've decided to give it a try. I measured out one cup of baking soda, like I was told to, and sprinkled it over m carpet. I decided it didn't look like enough, so I just took the box and sprinkled more over. My apartment has been smelling just a little to much of cat lately, and I want to get it back to a semblance of neutrality.
Let me tell you, Winston has been been both curious and cautious of this unfamiliar cleaning activity. I sprayed him with water when he tried to walk on the carpet, so he spent the rest of the hour (because I had to wait an hour to vacuum up the baking soda) just sitting and staring. Like he was expecting the carpet to do something.
I've no idea if this has worked in getting rid of the cat smell or not. But I'm going out in a few minutes, so I guess we'll find out when I get back if it did the trick or not! Next step is to fill the spray bottle with a mixture of water and white vinegar, spray the carpet, and wait for it to dry. I'm positive Winston won't like that at all.

sounds like a healthy solution to cleaning a carpet... so did it work?
